Open & Building (Out)
Last night, in conjunction with the NY Enterprise Tech Meetup, NYC SeedStart, and Silicon Valley Bank, we hosted a small get together for members of the enterprise technology community to celebrate Work-Bench's very early public days and pending construction. Thomas Quinlan, the CEO of R.R. Donnelley, our anchor partner and lead investor, described his excitement for our new form of collaboration between established industry leaders and startups:
"For a company to survive and thrive for almost 150 years, we've learned how to adapt to change. And change is in the air again. Fortune 500 companies like RRD and the companies we serve are challenged to find new technologies, much of which comes from startups like yourselves. So we were thrilled at the opportunity to invest and partner with Work-Bench to harness our deep and occasionally century-old customer relationships for the benefit of an extraordinary group of young enterprise companies."
